The countdown before takeoff seemed to mock me, taunting me before I'd be blasted off into the unknown. For all I knew, I could be in line for my deathbed.
'7, 6, 5...'
My heart pounded as fast as electricity could travel through the telephone wires to each house in pretty much the entire country. My life was flashing before my eyes as I sat there in the cushioned chair, my protective suit making my body sweat even more than it already was.
'4, 3, 2...'
One more number and off I go. Will I ever see my wife again? Our newborn baby? Probably not. My brain was seeming to make me assume I was on my way to heaven.
'1...'
I could hardly feel my grip tightening on the arms of the chair, or my eyes screwing shut. For a second, I regretted my decision to ever even come on this mission. But I pushed the thought out of my head. I was here now, and there was no turning back. All I could do was pray this light-year-traveling rocket wouldn't be a failure and kill me before I even got to Kepler- 186f.

11:59 pm "5" "4" "3" They chanted counting down to the moment Ares will meet his mate. "2" "1" Sparks erupted in my heart making me gasp and fall onto my knees in shock of the unfamiliar feeling. Everyone in the ballroom turn to me before gasping in shock. A loud Beastly roar is heard through the air making everyone go silent. "Oh Shit!" Steven exclaimed next to me, his brown eyes going huge at the sight in front of me I look up to see Ares, he jumps off the stage and runs at me, the crowd splits in half leaving me in the middle where he can get to me easier "Gee thanks guys" I glare at everyone He quickly but gently picks me up into his strong arms slamming his soft pink lips onto mine. Fireworks.Sparks.Tingles. It's as if all of the evil memories or thoughts of him were washed away as I kissed him more. Like as if I was brainwashed, in a trance that I couldn't break out of. It was addicting like a drug, I had to have more. Then I remember who he was. What he has done to innocent people. My mate is a monster. I pull away in shock not believing what I just have done. It felt like I murdered someone just by kissing Him. This is wrong. I hate it. But, I love it. He looked at me with shock and hurt expression on his face The Alpha Ares actually has feelings? He says, frowning. President Jack is on multiple phone lines calling the leaders of multiple other nations and telling them what's going on, what needs to be done, and how to go about doing it. The tension on his face easing whenever a nation pledges its support for this war. "Things might finally be looking u-" Tthey are interrupted by deranged chuckling, as it gets louder and louder, they see Timothy, smiling widely as he holds the struggling vice president and the vice president's wife by the neck in each hand. "Well isn't this cute, weak little nothings like you, gathering together to try and stop a god?" "He's not unstoppable, he was defeated before, we'll do it again, humans have caught up, I suggest you put those two down, unless you want a demonstration." Timothy smirks, "But I want a demonstration!!" He laughs and squeezes, SupaSound's suit activates, forming around him as he launches forward on sound waves before concentrating a blast at Timothy's face. Timothy disappears, dropping the VP and his wife. Madison sprung into action, barely catching them. "They're still alive!" She yells. Then, a line appears, from the sky to the White House, a line so dark it rejects reality, and is rejected in turn, time-space begins to distort around it, the world bending. SupaSound charges forward, even though he won't make it, he has to. Finally, the black portal cracks open, and the world around him explodes in blinding red light, followed by a voice."Was that humanity's best? I'd laugh if it wasn't so sad..."Complete

His jawline was chiseled to perfection, lips parted slightly in awe. Every feature of his face was meticulously handcrafted by God. I never thought I could find a wolf so elegant. He was...beautiful. "Okay, where do you want me to start?" "Anywhere you wish." "There were five of us. Dani, Elizabeth, Audrey, Taylor and me. We spent about 9 months in the basement. The walls where cement. The floor was cement. We each had our own chairs. Dani had her baby blue chair with white roses in the upper right corner. Elizabeth had her pale pink chair with white daiseys in the lower right corner. Audrey had her yellow chair with white roses in the upper left corner. Taylor had her black chair with red roses in the lower left corner. I had a white chair with sunflowers that sat in the center, the very center of the room. Each of us had a light above our heads. There were no covers in the lights just the wires losely hanging with the light attached at the end. The front legs of all our chairs had buckles that when we sat down they were right where our ankles were like he knew just were to put them. There were buckles on our arm rests that when we laid are arms on them the buckels our wrist were in the perfect spot. I think its funny how we all never made the conecction." "What conecction would that be?" "That we all have brown hair, blue eyes, were 5'5, all weighed 130. That when you put the first letter of each of our names together it spells Death. I love how at one point we all thought something, right before we were taken. Dani thought she was going to get mail. Elizabeth thought she was picking up dinner. Audrey thought she was going to class. Taylor thought she was taking her dog for a walk and I thought I was going to marry him and that I loved him with all my heart."Complete
