Running from our future
Centuries ago this was a great planet, now it's a husky shadow of its former beauty. Though the remnants of its former magic still linger it was destroyed by power hungry scientists. More tests to make more technology to go further, faster more this more that. Boom It all went up in flames, radiation spilled out into South America from the global power station in Brazil. The nuclear plant 15 times that of Chernobyl blew its top. The initial explosion flattened Brazil and the shockwaves were felt from the Florida keys. But the thing that truly ruined the world was the nuclear fallout. it rained down everywhere turning the world into a desolate wasteland deserts for miles and miles. Now you live in districts to survive, but what's the good in just being a number. Why would you look forward to a future of infant nothing, can you run from that? Where would you go? Where have the people who have escaped gone? Is that a future? What if there's someone who got left behind? Earth has Fallen, it's as simple as it states. Ten years prior, They came. The Tephra, came to Earth intending to take over the life baring Planet. A humanoid species more advanced in weaponry, skills and knowledge than the Human race; looked to make it their home. Countries leaders refused to allow such a thing to happen and war soon ensued. Countless lives wasted to the attack when peace and coexistence could have been an option. Human's, losing, resorted to no other option then chemical warfare. Lieth was born in Scottland and migrated to America as a child when she was ten years old, Ten years before the invasion. She was now 30yrs old. The chemical used in the war completely altered her genetic makeup. She stopped growing upon becoming infected and the effects were permanent. The chemical also caused her hair roots to stain a deep green hue giving her a more inhuman hair color. Her eyes defined her the most. They were a brilliant shade of Ember, like flames in a fire. Kaija was Heir to his Father's Reine. The Tephra were a very tall, fit, Agile and fast, clearly built for hunting. They also stopped aging once they hit adult-hood. Dying only due to sickness, accidents or being slain. Kai's hope was to hopefully unite both races, by force if needed. Kai had long white hair that went past his hips. His skin was a tannish cream tone, a scar over his left eye. He had an agile black tail that was adorned in gold armor. Long pointed elf-like ears. He wore black armor with gold trimming that was protective against attacks of any kind, but was very light making it easy for him to move around. Armored boots adorned with climbing spikes and gloves that exposed his razor-sharp claws. The most distinctive feature of all was the golden skill mask he wore that shown is crystalline blue hues. The Mother, The Father, and The Daughter. You. But due to the flare your parent's died, killing themselves in hope you would be safe. So you were all alone, stuck in the maze with the grievers. But they never hurt you, because W.I.C.K.E.D never got to you. Grievers are programmed to harm and or kill people from the glade. But that doesn't include you. You stayed in the maze for the rest of your life, until people started to show up. You mostly stay away from the gladers, until you save a certain boy that sets your world on fire. Everything you knew started to change. And now you are wanted by W.I.C.K.E.D. So make your choice. "Who's out there?" One of the men yelled. Of course only silence met them. I remained quiet and waited for the group to start moving again. "Maybe it was just an animal." Someone whispered. The person, who I assumed was the captain of the small squad, signaled for them to walk again. They clearly showed fear as they kept going; brandishing their weapons to guard themselves with. "Two are holding lanterns. I'll tell you when you're too close to them." I heard my friend whisper in my ear. I followed the men as I picked up another branch and waited for the right time to break it. They continued to walk through the forest, turning their heads in every direction as if an animal might lunge at them and rip their throats out. I guess in a way I was going to do that. "Go back a few feet." My friend whispered. I carefully distanced myself from the group and waited. "Where is she?" I quickly snapped the stick as soon as he finished asking the question. They stopped and two soldiers raised their lanterns to shine its light in the darkness. I quickly hid behind a tree before both of them turned where I was. A low frustrated growl came from one of the men, "The girl's playing with us. She's out here following our every move." How paranoia can cloud the mind. At nine years old, Silver decided to leave her village for the forest. Since then, she's been hunted; everyday is a fight for her life, every breath she takes could be her last, but she's determined to stay alive.
