He's a star football player, and she's a River Vixen. 

They seem like the perfect couple, but behind closed doors they're a mess. 

Betty and Archie are invited to a party hosted by River Vixen Captain, Cheryl Blossom.

Archie and Betty start fighting at the party. Betty leaves the party crying, and finds a Southside Serpent with his parked on the side of the road. 

His name was Jughead Jones. He gives her a ride home, and they keep seeing each other. Multiple times after.
