It's her senior year of high school, and seventeen-year-old Evelyn Stanton is not happy about moving four hours away from her cozy hometown of Langley, WA to the vast Portland, OR.
With no friends in Portland and her father being highly-absent due to his new job, it's pretty boring in her neighborhood. There's not much to look at besides Bradley Clark. He doubles as the hot guy across the street and the asshole quarterback at her new high school. She knows he's not a good person, but it doesn't hurt to look, right?
She starts school and hits it off with the bubbly Iris Simmons, her future best friend. Much to her surprise, Bradley is actually acknowledging her in the school hallways! She begins to feel more comfortable in her new city. Everything seems to be slowly falling into place.
But things aren't always as they seem.
