Dakota Lars is the type of girl who is fun, outgoing, witty,  smart, beautiful, cares about her family and friends, cares about Marching Band ( also considers MB a sport... btw it is by Webster dictionary definition), treats her snare drum like her baby, loves the Drum Major who is her best friend, is the Beta's daughter, and happens to have gained a full ride music scholarship to Ohio State University. Two problems stand in her way, the snarky alpha's boy called Carter Smith, whom she hates more than anything; and the fact she doesn't want a mate.

Carter Smith is the type of boy who is loud, funny, annoyingly handsome, dorky cares about football, the next party, his family, his pack, and his future mate. Also happens to hate the Beta's daughter, (who happens to be his best friend's twin and his sister's best friend) with everything in him. Carter also dislikes the School's marching band after hearing that the students and community only go to the games to watch the Halftime show. 

However, when the two of them discover that they're each other's mates, they find out one cares about having a mate and the other not so much. How will the two cope with sharing the field, pack, graduation, and dealing with each other's feelings about the other, whilst trying not to rip the other throats out? It hasn't been an easy adjustment to such a tiny, boring town, and she doesn't even have a car to get away. The first day of her senior year is going terrible, and to make matters worse, her clumsy feet have her stumbling down the stairs. Two worlds collide and what awaits her below has her reconsidering everything she thought about this town. *Note- This story takes place in 2010 and is loosely based on my own high school experience. The more I got into writing it, the more I realized how much has changed in 14 years.
