Dakota Lars is the type of girl who is fun, outgoing, witty, smart, beautiful, cares about her family and friends, cares about Marching Band ( also considers MB a sport... btw it is by Webster dictionary definition), treats her snare drum like her baby, loves the Drum Major who is her best friend, is the Beta's daughter, and happens to have gained a full ride music scholarship to Ohio State University. Two problems stand in her way, the snarky alpha's boy called Carter Smith, whom she hates more than anything; and the fact she doesn't want a mate.
Carter Smith is the type of boy who is loud, funny, annoyingly handsome, dorky cares about football, the next party, his family, his pack, and his future mate. Also happens to hate the Beta's daughter, (who happens to be his best friend's twin and his sister's best friend) with everything in him. Carter also dislikes the School's marching band after hearing that the students and community only go to the games to watch the Halftime show.
However, when the two of them discover that they're each other's mates, they find out one cares about having a mate and the other not so much.
