Dragons. Many people think they're just myths but they're not they're real. They live in there own place far away from humans even though they try to hide from dragon hunters they find them and kill there species. Meet 17 year old Hazel  5"7 pretty girl. She's a dragon who's just learning her gift. Every dragon learns how to fly when they're ten but each dragon has there own different gift and Hazel is just practicing hers fire breathing when horrible heartless hunters attack her  village that kill many of her species including her parents. She is sent away to California which is far far away from her home. She has to attend a new school and meet new people including gorgeous Mark who just happens to be a dragon hunter.

The only difference is, is that her secret is that she's part dragon. Her sister is supposed to slay anything mystical creature especially dragons but she doesn't know her secret or her best friend's. At least not yet or him hers and you know what's funny? He's got a huge crush on her. She's also adopted so that's why she's a dragon too. Although not American. She wasn't born American anyways. They don't exactly know each other's secret as of right now and so she have no one to help her. Looks like she's on her own she never belonged with humans anyways. It skipped her mom's generation though her biological mother not that it matters just like her sister it we were left.
