У каждого из нас есть своя бабочка, мы для нее дом, точнее наш внутренний мир. Это может показаться странным, но место обитание бабочек - это живот. Бабочки бывают разные, как по форме, так и по цвету, смотря на характер человека. У кого-то может быть светлая и нежная бабочка, которая говорит о хорошем нраве человека, а у кого-то черная и острая, значит этот человек  далеко не самый хороший.  В этом мире, люди подразделяются на две секты: обычные люди, которые даже не знают о насекомых, которые обитают в них, и "Крыло жизни" - это секта, которая ищет крылатых насекомых, которые потеряли свой дом, то есть человеческое тело, в котором они жили умерло. У  "Крыла жизни" есть видные черты, которые говорят о том, что это не совсем люди. От обычных людей они отличаются тем, что кровь у них синего цвета.  

Главная героиня Сара  - девушка с прозрачной бабочкой. Девушка обладает небесно-голубой кровью. Она входит в секту людей и даже не предполагает, что существует еще какая-та секта. Саре 17, бабочка живет  с ней у же 2 года, но девушка узнает про насекомое только в 18 лет.
