Kate has finally reached her senior year, the last year of high school life. She was looking forward to it because this is the year where everything will be put up as a good and last memory of high school. She's not had the best year, or really the easiest life. This was her last year and she wanted to spend the year being a normal high school student. She hadn't planned on falling for him, the one man who could make her already complicated life even more complicated. But sometimes complicated can be better than we think.

Christina has had her life figured out for as long as she could remember. The plan was always to get into Harvard and become a journalist. So what if she doesn't have much of a social life? She's got friends. Even one who's pretty close. A busy social calender never fit into the plan. And a boyfriend certainly didn't. Especially with her father's strict rules. Besides there'd be plenty of time for all that later, right? Mike doesn't know what he's doing past the next week. His only plan for the future includes turning out to be nothing like his father. He's beginning to think they're all the same, though - pretty and nice to be around for a while, but pretty shallow. Mike and Christina have known each other forever but haven't been close for years. The party was quite nice. The school year had just started. But there was too much alcohol, too many problems, and a unfortunate accident that would kill 5 kids, leaving many in grief. Cheating happened, death happened, rape happened, and brought people closer to each other than they've ever been.
