Losing Myself

I let out a piercing scream that echoed off the hills and mountains of endless trees in the distance. I didn't know what was happening to me. He plunged his hand straight into the open gash in my chest as I screamed in agony. It felt like he was ripping my heart out and dissecting my insides. I begged him to just kill me but the pain didn't stop. It never stopped. I screamed, cried, and begged for hours until I finally drifted into unconsciousness As I lay in the forest floor, passed out, for some reason I see. I see myself. My long raven black hair in a curly, tangeled, mess all around me, my body bloodied, battered, broken, and helplessly laying on the ground. Why could I see myself? I looked down at my hands to find they were translucent. My head was spinning. I looked behind me to see a man with piercing blue eyes that shined brightly. Almost glowing actually. The reflected my image thousands of times. I gasped in shock. It was like looking into a mirror. Was that really me? I was as clear as glass and glowing brightly. I looked closer and felt the world around me begin to shift and change shape. There, on my back, we're two, large feathery wings. Like an agel's. Only mine, were pitch black.
