15 year old Layla Lass and her 17 year old bother Mathew Lass are shipped away to California to live with the miller boys when her mom Nickole meets her "soul mate" James desoron. Layla (aka the emo girl) is the shy girl but also has very bad anger issues and her brother Mathew is very protective of her. so when some of the miller boys fall for Layla there are two problems- 1. who will she pick, if any of them, and 2. what will Mathew do? Then theirs the unrealized problem of...Nick. A kid just like her with every thing black. They fight A LOT, but will become of there love/hate relationship when somebody cuts in and demands Nick?
