For her entire life, Samantha Wilkins has struggled to define who she is. The daughter of a single mother, the bothersome little sister to her outgoing brother. The victim of her fathers abuse. But when she has the opportunity to go to the public high school with her brother, she jumps at the chance to become 'normal' for once. And to be around brother's best friend, Ian.
Ian Scott has always been the golden boy. But being golden isn't easy. Starting his senior year of high school, Ian is forced to deal with expectations versus what kind of life he actually wants.
As the two grow closer, the lines of what they want start to come into focus. Together the future, and all that comes with it, may be brighter then they could have hoped. But in order to move ahead, they have to face the demons of their past.
