Book One of the Beast Division Series.
Although magical creatures are still a mystery to the muggle kind, the understanding among witches and wizards has become greatly acknowledged.
Bronwen Hale is an American witch who has always been fascinated by the idea of magical creatures, and her dream of caring and studying them is finally before her grasp as she moves to England to work in a Sanctuary.
Although it seems like her very dreams are coming true, there is something amiss with the wizardry world. The black market is on the rise and its participants have an acquired taste for rare creatures which has placed the Sanctuary in the attention of thieves.
Whilst trying to prove herself capable of the responsibility given to her, Bronwen also wrestles with the instinct of danger growing near.

Wait!" he called after her as he realized that he could hear a very low humming noise coming from within the woods. "Maybe she's following the noise," he thought as he began to follow it to find where it was coming from and hopefully locate Celine. He pushed through the underbrush as the sound became louder and then he saw Celine standing in front of a whirling, shimmering vortex which was floating about four feet above the forest floor.
