Dawno temu, każdy na świecie miał swojego Anioła Stróża, którego dostawał w dniu narodzin. Lecz ludzie nie doceniali tego daru i Bóg postanowił uświadomić im, jak wielki skarb zaprzepaścili.
Od tej pory każdy musiał udowodnić, że zasługuje na swego osobistego strażnika i przewodnika, a osobami zgłaszającymi do ceremonii nadania mogli być tylko rodzice. Chłopcy przechodzili próbę odwagi i czystości w wieku 9 lat, natomiast dziewczynki musiały się przykładnie prowadzić do 15 roku życia i na ceremonii przyznania Anioła przedstawić swoich rodziców, również żyjących według przykazań. Wtedy przybyły Archanioł decydował, czy zasługują na osobistego stróża.
Te boskie istoty miały pozostawać z ludźmi do śmierci. Gdy ona nadeszła, zabierały ich dusze do nieba a same stawały się gwiazdami i nieskończenie lśniły na nieboskłonie, oświetlając drogę kolejnym pokoleniom.
Lecz co się stanie, gdy zostanie się zapomnianym przez ludzi i anioły?
