Their culture 100 years ago was far different from their way of life nowadays. They used to be a very peaceful species.
Now, under a new ruler, those old ways have been forgotten by all, excluding a select few. Those few pass their stories onto their apprentices, in hopes of keeping the memory alive.

Ferris is one of those apprentices.

He leads an unusual life, being defective due to his lack of electrical power. His mentor, Skuttle, tells him stories of the past.
He doesn't want to attack anyone unless in a dire situation.
He wants to convince others to follow that rule..
But he's just a little defect.

The oppressive government prevents people from using these Gifts properly. A faction of rebels is on the rise, determined to retrieve the children they lost to this cruel government and create a fairer world for all. "and we don't like being wrong..." Modern futuristic AU. This story will contain mature themes and triggering topics, such as somewhat detailed descriptions of blood and violence, suicide, depression, homophobia, child abuse, and death.
