*Spoilers for Tower of Dawn, Empire of Storms, and Kingdom of Ash* As a worker for Queen Maeve, Emeline was ordered to leave her home continent Wendlyn to infiltrate Terrasen and poison the royal court; to destroy the kingdom of Aelin Ashryver Galathynius. At the start of her quest, Emeline expected to do nothing but follow orders. But once she realized what was held at stake, she found herself doing much, much more. She must navigate a still-rebuilding court, keep her true motives hidden, and appease Queen Maeve's demands. Violin of Glass illustrates Emeline's journey as she discovers truths she'd never considered before and does things she'd never thought possible, all to save the ones she loves, and to save the people who burrowed their way into her heart.

For decades, Aelin Ashryver Galathynius and Rowan Whitethorn have ruled the Kingdom of Doranelle, passing the governance of Terrasen to her cousin, Aedion, and his descendants. Since her defeat of Queen Maeve more than 100 years ago, Aelin has lived in relative peace, until nightmare-like prophecies of an unknown threat begin to plague her dreams. Feyre and Rhysand defeated the King of Hybern several years ago. Prythian has thrived under the semi-cooperative leadership of the seven High Lords (and one High Lady), but a dark force has been gathering to the West, and as events transpire, it becomes more and more clear that a long lost prophecy must be fulfilled before Prythian can finally be at peace once more. Aidan Meara Ashryver Havilliard has been groomed since childhood to inherit the throne of Adarlan, but at the age of sixteen, she is both sickly and frail, wasting away from an illness that no healer in Erilea has been able to diagnose. When an aunt, long thought dead, resurfaces with information that offers an answer to the disease as well as information about threats to the South, Aidan must make a decision that could affect not only Adarlan or even Erilea but two entirely different worlds.
