This story takes place before the rise of Bruce Wayne as the iconic Batman. With the death of wealthy philanthropists, Dr.Thomas and Martha Wayne their son Bruce Wayne is left orphaned and alone. The streets of Gotham are now in turmoil with an all out mob war erupting from their deaths. Dark times are in store for the city of Gotham and the young orphaned Wayne. As the storm gathers and Gotham becomes a powder keg heroes must rise, however, the storm brings a threat that has nearly been forgotten by all. Barbara lost a boy who she thought she could of loved. They all coped with it in different ways, Jason made bad choices, Damian drifted, Tim and Barbara became close friends. But that was never enough. It never will be. By the end of the day, no matter what they did, Dick was still dead. Well, at least he was to them. When bodies start dropping all over Gotham, each one leaving a message for the mighty Batman, people start asking questions. Maybe Batman isn't capable of protecting Gotham, maybe he's finally met his match. What happens when these bodies start becoming innocent people instead of criminals? What will Batman do then?
