Deadly Inflictions

Siblings, Aiden and Kadence, navigate through a broken, monster consumed world. Aiden, a strong willed, strategic, leader of the mountain Institution must find a way to get his beloved little sister Kadence back from the only other known ruler in the area, Maddox, a sadistic, yet very emotional, man with only one goal; become the one and only leader in the area. Post apocalyptic, they have to deal with the aftermath of a virus that turns the living organisms mind completely feral and hungry for any blood in sight. Different levels of the virus also roam. Stage 1, infection. The host is irritable, slowly becoming more sensitive and aware of its surroundings. Making even light irritating. Stage 2, rage. The host is beyond curing, tearing at anything with the hands and teeth to fill its hunger. Stage 3, settling. The host mutates, blood levels rise and heats, melting the exterior skin off replacing it with slick tar-like skin that burns fiercely in the sunlight. Bones shift, making arms and legs longer, fingers mutate into claw-like statures. Intelligence rises, host will no longer be fueled by rage but instead hate for those who are not like them. These creatures will bound together and strategize. In a world full of nothing but death around every corner, Aiden and Kadence do their best to persevere, not only for them, but for the sake of humanity.
