She lost her witch side but kept her wolf side which she had activated a month prior to her brothers death. Madison and her siblings left Mystic Falls after that and she came back 3 years ago. Around 1 year and a half after that, her siblings (Klaus, Elijah and Rebekah) joined her in Virginia. Emily Salvatore is the youngest Salvatore sibling. Yes, Salvatore as in the Salvatore brothers Damon and Stefan. When she was 16 years old, back in 1864, her brothers met a girl named Katherine Pierce who was a vampire.
