The games are on!  When the Avengers receive an invitation to fight for the honor of earth in a series of competitions that span all across the Nine Realms to the galaxies beyond, they are forced to go per Fury's command.  They find Thor is fighting for Asgard, with several unfamiliar faces fighting for their prospective worlds.  However, there is one other face they recognize.
The Grandmaster arrives from Sakaar, and he brings with him: Loki?  Except the Frost Giant and former Prince of Asgard does not remember them or who he was.  He is simply a servant doing his master's bidding.  And that bidding is to beat the other world champions. Sam (Falcon) will follow Cap to the ends of the earth, but refuses to jump off the proverbial bridge just because Cap's doing it. Bucky (Winter Soldier) is trying to atone for his past misdeeds, while learning what exactly they were, but is living in Wakanda with T-challa (Black Panther) so neither will be playing a large role in this story. Then there's Aite. She's new. She's the Greek goddess of mischief, delusion, folly, and ruin. You'd think her and Loki would be the best of friends... Not so much.
