"We're moving." Little did she know, those two words, those two simple words, that means close-to-nothing to most kids, would change her life entirely.

Annabeth, though she prefers Beth, is a girl that's too shy to utter a word to anyone her age, but she can talk to adults without stuttering. Moving around a lot between fourth and seventh grade, she crawled into a shell, and distanced herself from everyone. During seventh and eighth grade, she stayed in one place, and started making friends and getting good grades.
Life is like a baseball game, sometimes people throw curve balls at you, and you have to dodge them, or swing. It's like the saying "When life gives you lemons, you make lemonade." But for Beth she dodges curve balls, and doesn't use the lemons to make lemonade. Her parents tell her they're moving, again, but this time to her Uncle's ranch, since her Aunt died of cancer.
At first, Beth loathes the idea of living on a ranch, with goats and all the other animals you'd find on a ranch, but then she meets Magenta, a black racing horse. She instantly takes a liking into Magenta, since much like herself, Magenta isn't a people person. But much to her cousin's shock, Magenta instantly likes Beth.
Then...one day, Beth wants to race. All Rights Reserved
