Being different in an orphanage is difficult, and being brought back after a max of two to three months puts a lot of pressure on ones shoulders. And by ones shoulders, I mean poor Scythe's shoulders. If someone were to pay a nickel for each time she was sent back to the orphanage, they would be as rich as Bill Gates. All of the parents that sent her back would say the same thing; "She's a psycho!" or "She's possessed!" Causing the next family, that comes in to adopt, to steer clear of the 'Possessed psycho' at all costs. Then one day on Scythe's 16th birthday, she was adopted by a nice two parent family. Her managing to stay there for a year and a half before disaster struck. Causing the two parents to turn against her, and sending her to a place for crazy children.
When will Scythe ever find a permanent home?
