Valentino is an orphan, who was left on the threshold of the Alpha of the blood moon pack. His mother was a werewolf. She was impregnated and abandoned by the younger brother of the Alpha that died shortly after. So she fell into a deep depression, gave her little boy away and took her life.

The boy is lovingly raised by his new parents, together with their biological son, Damian, who is one year older than Valentino. During the first years the boys care very much for each other.
Damian, who is extroverted and strong minded, protects his weak sibling, who looks up to him. As teenagers they drift apart. Damian is ashamed of Valentino's behavior and reproaches him all the time. Not only because he's different than others; he's also more and more sexually attracted to him, which he would never admit, not even to himself.

He is attracted to the submissive werewolf, because after Valentino's 16th birthday he is turned into a girl, so he fits the sexual orientation of his future heterosexual dominant. The fact that the guys of the pack are attracted to the "new girl" creates more problems with Damian. Especially one has fallen in love with Valentina (Valentino's new name after the change) and that's her best friend, Liam.

On Damian's 18th birthday he becomes the Alpha of the blood moon pack, replacing his father - and the moon goddess reveals his mate to him. He is a dominant werewolf and he needs a submissive mate to calm him down. To his horror his mate is the pain in his neck, who's rejecting him in front of the entire pack.

Valentina and Damian have only limited time to find themselves as lovers and mates, otherwise they will die of a broken heart.
