A Phoenix can live from a 500 to 1000 year life-cycle, near the end of which it builds itself a nest of twigs that then ignites; both nest and bird burn fiercely and are reduced to ashes, from which a new, young phoenix will arise, reborn anew to live once again.
The legend of the phoenix was something my mother spoke of. My father saw it as a myth but in fact it is very much reality.

All grandfathers are alike, each one tells you stories about wars or the good old days. But not my Grandfather. He was a storyteller, but his stories were always different. He would just come up with the stories, and they would be so enrapturing to me. It hooked me from the beginning until the moment I had to leave. But then one day, he told me a story that would change everything for me and my Father. This story called the Phoenix Girl. It's a story of a girl who goes through hardships and struggles in her everyday life. They punish her for things she has no control over, but then she faces it all. She is reborn from the ashes of the flames that had consumed her. She is stronger. But what if this isn't just some story that my grandpa came up with? What if something connected her to my family? What will happen now that the truth is out there? Why was this story so important? What will change? Who is this Phoenix Girl? Stories have been told of this mythical creature, singing praises for it, one such story has been passed down from generation to generation in the (L/n) family as they seem to see the creature as a guardian angel of sorts, but does (Y/n) believe in it as did his ancestors? No, he had lost all faith in this creature, and believed the stories told were simply stories, and fairy tales of people who just tried to come up with a reason as to why things happen. If such a thing existed why has no one found it today? Why has the beast that his family claims to be their savior their guardian angel left them to suffer? (Y/n) may find the answers to such questions, and find that sometimes that myths or legends do turn out to be true.Complete
