"Dont do this. Not again." His voice shook slightly as he pleaded me with his eyes not to walk away from him again.
"I'm sorry Nathan." I said in barely a whispered. I hated knowing I could cause this much pain to him, I don't know why I'm feeling guilty, I mean ever since we stopped being best friends he's made my life at school a living a hell. 
"I lost you once I won't lose you again." He said, his voice stronger and his face determined.
"You don't have a choice." Little did he know that I really didn't have a choice. The only reason I was walking away from him was to protect him. I couldn't bare seeing him hurt, I knew that was what I was doing to him know but at least this way, he can get over me and live happily. Me? I'd be lucky if I could survive the night.

His vampire side had taken over. He took a step closer, and my heart started pounding in my chest. I knew exactly what was going to happen next. This time, it was his vampire side. Last time, it was his wolf. Each time I resisted him, he hurt me, made me regret it. And now I knew he was going to compel me, force the answer he wanted out of me. I quickly shut my eyes tightly so he couldn't use his power against me. There was no point in running, I was already injured, already weak. A cold, dark laugh filled the room, sending a shiver down my spine. "My, my, look how afraid you are, my Sera," he mocked. I could feel him getting closer, his presence suffocating. Suddenly, he yanked my hair back, hard. I screamed in pain, but I refused to open my eyes. "Be my good girl and open your eyes, Seraphina," he commanded, his voice low and dangerous.
