Remus Lupin's life is miserable. He was bitten by a werewolf at the age of five causing his lycanthropy and as a result ostracisation from both the wizarding and muggle community, he had never known friendship. But when the famous Albus Dumbledore Apparates in his living room and hands hims his Hogwarts admission his life changes drastically.

At Hogwarts Remus befriends the trouble making James Potter, the reckless Sirius Black and the day-dreaming Peter Pettigrew. But his terrible secret threatens to spill.

What's more a strange presence lurks in the grounds of Hogwarts. None of the adults believe them when they say so. It's up to the four boys to find our exactly what is happening.

Thus begins the story of the legendary Marauders.

This story is based on JK Rowling's characters from the series Harry Potter. I have done my best to be accurate with both timelines and character portrayals, but of course there will be some changes since this is an alternate universe with some original characters inserted, plus, there is only so much written about the marauder's era. The story takes place in the year 1976, the boys are all in their sixth year, and tensions are high at Hogwarts. Many of the students are already feeling the influence of the Voldemort, and it is causing suspicion and division to run rampant within the walls of the school. Sirius finds himself intrigued by a Slytherin girl he'd never taken the time to notice before, and a student transfer from Ilvermorny has caught the eye of Remus. Of course James is still battling for Lilly's attention, hoping to prove how much he's matured over the summer months. Undeniable attraction pulls these students together, but house division, many secrets, and a Dark Lord's growing influence threatens to tear them apart. Will they find a way to conquer their differences and pull together to face the coming war, or will the bonds of friendship fail the Marauders once and for all? Please comment! I figured I'd never be able to share it because the story doesn't run smoothly, but when I opened the document today and saw that I'd written over 170,000 words, I knew that I needed to comb through it and find the individual stories within.
