Pertama kali aku melihat dia ketika aku berada di kantin kampus. Sedang berjalan sambil meminum Pop Ice yang kugenggam. Mataku berputar - putar melihat sekeliling kantin yang ramai diisi  mahasiswa - mahasiswa baru. Hingga mataku tak sengaja berhenti di salah satu wanita. Wanita yang wajahnya tak asing bagiku. 

Mata kami bertemu, wajahnya seakan - akan berkata, "Apa aku mengenal lelaki itu ?"  Aku terdiam terpaku di tempatku berdiri tanpa mengatakan sepatah katapun. Bukan, bukan karena kecantikannya tapi karena sesuatu hal yang sangat sensitif bagiku. Hal yang ingin kupendam dalam - dalam. 

Dia tersenyum kecil lalu pergi meninggalkanku. Aku masih terdiam membeku ditempat. Tak berani aku menyapanya. Yang kupikirkan adalah mengapa aku bisa bertemu dengannya disini. Jakarta bukanlah kota yang kecil. Lantas mengapa kota yang sedemikian besarnya terasa sempit bagiku. Kupikir aku melarikan diri, tapi dia kembali.
