Every year one boy and one girl gets picked out of each faction to compete in the faction games. A battle that changes every year. Sometimes its a battle to the death, a test of your knowledge, ability to remain peaceful no mater what happens, to be able to tell the truth in the hardest situations, to be totally selfless. Now I know you're thinking that each year a different faction wins due to what they do but each year is a combination of two of these skills.
Dauntless are fearless and therefore prepared to fight. Erutide seek knowledge and plan for anything. Amity believe in peace, they try to get people to cooperate and work in teams. Candor always tell the truth, they can easily pick up if you're lying to them, they form strong alliances. Finally Abnegation, they are completely selfless and give their lives to save others, to this day there has not been a champion from Abnegation.

{BOOK ONE} There are five factions. Each had their own reasoning for thinking why the war had happened. Dauntless; cowardice and fear. They strive to be brave, fearless. Erudite; ignorance. They strive for intellect, to be smart and curious. Candor; deception. They strive to be honest. Amity; they blamed the war itself along with fighting. They strive to be kind, forgiving, peaceful. Abnegation; selfishness. So they strive to be selfless. Dauntless are our police. Erudite are our teachers. Candor is the law. Amity are the farmers. And Abnegation are our government. I would sit on the ground everyday, wearing my yellow dress with black sandals. Wasn't the best thing for me. Dresses made my shoulders to broad, especially the flowing ones. When I was home alone, or with my mother, I would wear I tight black shirt and white shorts. No one would really approve, mostly because they were Candor colours along with the fact it's not... welcoming enough. I never understood Amity, not because of the kindness and the peacefulness; well, mostly the peacefulness. Whenever it should come down to defending ourselves or walking away. We walked away. It confused me. Maybe I wasn't Amity enough to understand. Maybe I wasn't kind enough. Maybe, just maybe, I didn't belong here. So where do I belong?
