Matthew Murdock meets a girl that works in the office next to him, and they immediately hit it off. She's intelligent and refreshingly different from the girls he usually dates.
But Matt's extracurricular activities - the ones that include him beating up criminals in alleyways - prove to be a roadblock, as well as a catalyst, in his and Skyler's relationship.

Matt finds his feelings changing as events in the city unravel steadfastly. Time is running out for the city, the woman he loves, and his own four walls. He is nothing if not gentle, and above all, soft.
