The year is 2062, and "Earth" as we know it, is gone. The apocalypse that was supposed to occur in 2012 never happened. Prior to December 2012, the world was sent into chaos and destruction. During that time, many false prophets arose and demanded that families sacrifice the women and the children. This left Earth's population of women almost to the point of extinction. However, a group of 65 women were found in hiding. Fifty years later, in the year 2062, a new civilization has already been erected upon the values of "procreation and sustainability." This new world is split between three settlements: the Gorge (where the majority of single women reside), the Ous (where the single and married women and men reside), and the Island (where traitors reside). In the Gorge, when girls reach the age of thirteen, they are examined and sold to men from the Ous settlements. They are then married and forced to have sexual intercourse. If they deny getting married, having sex, or discarding their child, if it is a boy, then they are sent to the Island...and no one wants to be sent there; for it surely means suffering and death.
Melody Crimson is about to be sold to Jacque Temple, whose parents are the leaders of the Gorge and the Ous civilizations. She can't wait to be married off and enjoy the one thing that she reads about in the forbidden books her mother hides: love. However, will Jacque ever consider her more than an item his father bought for him? Or will he learn that when beauty is for sale, your heart just might pay the ultimate price? Read to find out...

In a distant but alternate future, between the late 2030s and early 2040s, 2039 to be precise, where the people of Earth live in comfort due to advancements in A.I., twins Isabelle and Ember Sims are prodigious musicians born with vitiligo and poliosis who dream of becoming music stars. The beginning of the story follows the adventures and misadventures of the twins as they navigate through their high school years while living with their paternal uncle, who's a freelance indie producer, and doing what they can to pursue music. After a fateful encounter with old and new friends, the twins and their comrades decide to form a band together and name themselves The Vagabonds. Up against the A.I. singers that dominate the music world, The Vagabonds believe that together, they can convey their feelings through their songs. Will hard work and luck be enough for the twins and their band to create the biggest miracles that Earth has ever seen? ***BTW: In my plot, when I say "alternate future", I mean most of the shows, bands, or films people today are familiar with don't exist in this story, and singles that are done by real-life artists such as Miley Cyrus or Olivio Rodrigo, for example, weren't composed/sung by them in this story timeline. One of which is Jem and the Holograms. I say this, because I'm using some of their songs in ym story for the musicians I create. But there'll be songs that're done in covers by the artists in my story. You'll know when the song they perform is a cover by reading the text.Complete
The Ark Diary of Dylan De Rovia Book One of De Rovia Diaries
Before the fall of Earth humanity built a great colony ship, ten thousand of the colonist left Earth for a hundred year journey to Gillespie. They came from all over the Earth leaving a planet knowing they would never see another in their lifetime. The Ark is a rotating cylinder the size of a large island with its own train system. It's divided into three main sections, the city, the framlands, and the Lowers. The people are divided into three groups as well, Uppers, Middles and Lowers. Uppers are made of elite scientist, Astro-crops, bureaucrats they made up about 3% of the population. The Middles are are the farmers, the guard, teachers, doctors, the food processors, clothes makers and of course the mechanical maintenance workers. They make-up the 97% of the 10,000 counted citizens. The lowers are criminals and children born to un-paired parents. They live separated from the middles and Upper. In lowers you work in water reclamation or in one of the fish farms that supply protein to the ship. In the year 2149 Dylan De Rovia is trying to wrap her head around the idea that in two year's she'll be paired. That they call marriage on the Ark. Pairing is good most who are paired do end-up staying together because while genetics play good part in determining a match so does personality. Some people choose to use spend this time having a good time with as many partners as possible. Dylan however, vowed that she would never fall in love with anyone before pairing. The universe had other plans however, when Dylan learns that she'll pair with an Upper named Kyive Sinclar life gets more complicated than ever. Falling in love is hard enough falling in love in space that the story.Complete

The New World has been the last peaceful and resourceful country for nearly two hundred years. Or at least that's what they say. Samantha Ivory has been living a boring average life in an old town with lots of history. That is, until the news of a carnival coming to town ignites new excitement. This carnival promises a night of fun for everyone. There are games, promising rewards, and food that no one has ever seen or tasted before. But what if this carnival isn't what it seems to be? And who are these people that have come into her town? Can Sam figure it out before it's too late, or will she get stuck playing a game she never wanted to play? A boy no older than me is just standing there, he is wearing a gray shirt with a hole in the shoulder and it has a handful of stains and dirt spots on it. I immediately know he is not from Treegrass. Not only have I never seen him before in my life but everyone in our town always wears nice clean and washed clothes, therefore nobody should be looking like him. The boy has a small cut on his cheek and is thin, a lot thinner than he should be. I look away from him and around at my surroundings, there is no one else here. In Martha's world, an alternative earth, the people follow the rules of 'The Grandmothers'. When you turn twenty five you are shelved, no longer allowed to date and forbidden from marrying. The earth is still recovering from the third world war. Resources are controlled by the Elites and the environment is polluted and many countries are damaged beyond repair. The population that survived the war has been ravaged by chemical weapons. The genders are out of balance. For over sixty years the birth rate of female babies has far outweighed their male counterparts. Women are resigned to the knowledge that if they are not married by the time they are twenty five that they never will be. They have limited choices once they are shelved. Martha chooses to go against the wishes of her family. She will spend the rest of her life taking care of her widowed Father as opposed to working and giving all her money to her younger female cousins to supplement their dowry. Fate and time has a different plan. Martha is drawn into a battle between The 19 and The Wild Roses. Two different factions each wanting to use and twist Martha for their own ambitions. Will Martha be able to bloom and change the world for the better or will she crushed? ....This story is a work in progress, it has themes and ideas that may change over time as the story develops and as I learn what you like and dislike about the novel. Hi there, I'm JD, a 31-year-old Venezuelan-Spanish Economist living in Barcelona with my Russian (pro-peace) wife Anna and our two kittens; we met in Italy eight years ago, and almost since then we have been working on this project. During our careers we've worked with people from South America to Japan, from Australia to Canada, from South Africa to Norway, the characters in the novel are based on people I was lucky enough to meet along the way who left me with invaluable lessons which we feel the duty and privilege of sharing with our fellow humans, hopefully sharing what cosmologists call "Space Bias". There are seven main protagonists each one with their own chapter - which can be read in whichever order you prefer, - two of them in present tense and the rest in past, it's all part of the story. They all have mixed backgrounds such as a Japanese father and a Taiwanese mother, a survivor of the Rwanda massacre, a Colombian with Lebanese and Portuguese ancestry, a Danish whose mother is German, a Jewish lady married to a Muslim man she met in Jerusalem, an Anglo-Indian guy inspired in a way in Orwell - character name is Arthur such as Orwell's real name, - and last but definitely not least a Turkish Muslim bisexual woman for which a Lebanese friend for work is providing help; my friend is working on her Ph.D. on gender inequality in politics, especially in countries with religious civil wars that have moved from the streets to parliament. The story's Universe - 7 trillion light-years, approximately 78 times the size of our observable universe and 252 times the size of a Hubble sphere - provides more than enough civilizations to present dystopias that can serve as warnings for the future - ideally in the style of 1984, A Brave New World, or Fahrenheit 451, - as well as utopias where we find A.E.I - Artificial Emotional Intelligence - along with futuristic ways of understanding childhood, education, and life itself.Complete
