After the one he loves betrays him, and the people he loves die, Percy will never love again.
Hera, Hestia, and Artemis adopt him and he gains godhood, hating the naivete of love he takes a vow and swears off love eternally.
He gets a wish from the gods as a thank you for saving Olympus a second time and, choosing to follow in Artemis' footsteps and founds a male version of the hunters.
Percy becomes the god of the hunt (a gladly shared title with Artemis), Protectors, swordplay, household happiness, hero's, calm seas and raging tides.
He is finally content, but not everyone wants that to continue.
