Joeanne is a rapper. She's not famous, she's not glamorous, she's not all star. And she most certainly is no role model. Leaving home, almost a year ago, she lives under a fake identity. In which nobody from her past can trace her. She makes money illegally, exclusive to a drug lord who doesn't take no for an answer.
Escaping the reality of her harsh living, rapping is a form of comfort, and a lapse in time where she can be stable. Exquisitely basing her lines from darkening content, Joeanne expresses herself as damaged and relatable to many.
Temporary may only be for a moment, but for millions can base off of a lifetime.

Trapped in my own head
She is an outcast. She finds it easier to express what she feels in the form of writing. Whether it is poems, letters or long texts. These are poems that she writes trying to describe how it feels to live with certain mental health issues, in a world that disregards outcasts. So, these are on the darker side of the spectrum. Some poems might be distressing for some readers. I personally enjoy consuming dark content, it's kinda like a coping mechanism. I really hope none of you relate with any of these :) I'll be posting only poems here, I'll try to be as active as I can. The poems are not in any order. She's never had problems, until recently. Recently, her world has been falling apart, but from the inside out. Turned into a depressed girl with serious eating disorder problems, all she wants to do is let go of everything, and be thin. Lighter than air and be the skinniest of all. Slowly, she's drifting away from the real world into a world of her own, and pieces of her every day disappear and then she realises, but it's too late. Or is it? It's never too late to change... It's funny, given this fact, how someone that has spent their entire life from sixteen, living under a spotlight, can be in an abusive relationship for three years, and no one notices. Not a single person. They don't see the hands that wander her body in the middle of the eternal night or the bruises on her cheeks from a blow that she didn't deserve. Not a single person saw her pain. Until she met Joe Alwyn, on a Wednesday, at a cafe. The whirlwind of memories from the Met Gala, when she'd first laid eyes on him, whilst in the arms of another. Those ocean eyes that had followed her around the dance floor, as he stood to the side. She didn't know that Joe remembered that moment when they'd first met. But he'd been watching - he couldn't stop watching. She was mesmerising. And she'd had that sparkle in her eyes, the first thing he'd noticed about her.
