Chelsea is terrified of flying. But she promised herself to become the first Terrorist Support K-9 Handler to board flights and prevent terrorism before it happens. It's an ordinary take off and Chelsea is just settling into first class with her music for a trip to Germany so she can say goodbye to her dying grandmother. But when she leaves her seat to go to the loo, 5 armed hijackers begin to secure passengers in their seats, threatening to kill anyone who moves. But Chelsea has a trick up her sleeve. Also flying to Germany are her elite terrorist detection dogs Max and Shaster. They are the world's best at picking out hijackers but have yet to take their test to become licensed and to do that, they must perform in front of judges whilst flying at 30,000 feet in the air whilst working as a team which they have not quite succeeded with yet. There's only one problem. Max and Shaster are below in the cargo hold and the plane is crawling with hijackers. Can Chelsea save the plane, the pilots and air crew and passengers but also catch the hijackers whilst making sure she or her dogs aren't killed? Read Elite Hero to find out.

The year is 2045. In order to train the next generation of air force pilots, countries around the world have turned air combat into a school sport, officially naming it "Fire Flight". Simply put, a fire flight is a simulated air combat scenario, be it air-to-air or air-to-surface, using dummy munitions to score hits on air/surface targets. It's been 2 decades since the sport was created and some of the best pilots in the world were molded from fire flight. The best pilots usually came from the best schools which had a lot of money to provide the best equipment possible. However, the same cannot be said about the lesser fortunate schools. All schools, rich or poor, have to pay for all the equipment (aircraft, dummy munitions, etc.) themselves. Meaning the rich schools usually were able to afford the best tech while middle and low class schools had to settle for hand-me-downs or worse. Kevin McNamara is an autistic senior in the backwater high school of Monarca High, Monarca, California. He will join the "Monarca Kestrels" fire flight squadron and fill the spot of Kristopher Kestrel, who tragically died in an aircraft collision earlier in the year. He will have to get antiquated with his teammates who are still recovering from Kristopher's death. As a flight of three jets, all of which are relics of the distant past, they will have to work together as they fight above their weight class in almost every match they enter. Kevin will have to experience grief, romance, and the harshness of gatekeeping on top of all the usual stresses of a fighter pilot if he wants his team to become the best fire flyers in the America.
