Sam stood to his feet, his wet, white t-shirt a bit transparent, hugging his thin, chiseled torso. The girl bit down slightly on her bottom lip. Her heart began to beat harder, and harder inside her chest, as she laid eyes on him, 'really' laid eyes on him for the very first time. Even in the rain he was beautiful, his dark curly hair, wet and messy (dripping with rainwater), his suntanned hands and strong arms, his sharp and defined jaw-line, his full, kissable lisps and light, stormy blue-eyes. He was the most beautiful thing the girl had ever seen. And he'd been in her yard for a long while, and now, he was standing on her porch, staring into her eyes. It was something like from a dream, but not. It was real. It was really happening... And to Clare Middlebrook, the new girl at Mt. View High, of all people. Story Summary: Clare Middlebrook thought her life couldn't get any worse, when her grandmother died, and her family packed up as much as they could load into their old station wagon, and moved hundreds of miles away to a cold, rainy little town in Colorado. Clare had no friends and absolutely no idea what awaited her next. She would soon meet the super cute, kind eyed boy next door. His name----was Sam. Along with Clare, he had issues of his own, still coping with his parents ugly divorce, but together, they just might sort each and every one out. In the sea of all the glamor girls at Mountain View High, Sam wanted Clare the most, but why? He and his sister were the most popular kids at school, and Clare----she was new, and a complete nobody... However, in Sam's dreamy, sapphire eyes, he saw something more; something extraordinarily special. To him, she was pretty... Clare really was, and not just pretty, but more beautiful inside than all the other girls at school could ever be. What would take place months down the road would change broken hearts and lives forever...
