Andrew has been traveling with the carnival since he was five years old, and has never had another life. His life is anything but stable but he loves it anyway, traveling and meeting new people everywhere he went. But one year, while the carnival had returned to it's birthplace in Dallas Georgia, Andrew meets somebody who is different, strange even. She looks at him as if he were a ghost.

He brushes it off, seeing as he's a carnie, and of course nobody likes carnies.

Andrew expects this trip to the hometown of the carnival to be as long as any other trip, two-three days tops, but something happens that keeps him there much longer than he planned. Something that he thinks might change his life and keep him there forever.
