In this story, the time sets to feudal era Japan. For this in particular village, (The wind village), its natural resources (water and food) are running out. After the death of their parents, Saito Yoongi, and Saito Toru, are left on their own to fend for themselves when not only the loss of supplies travels throughout the village, but also when the UZUS, a very persistent enemy of the wind village, decides to capture the village chief in order to ensure the land of the village. When all hope seems lost, Yoongi and Toru rise to the task of finding more resources, along with finding the village chief.
