Dylan "DC" Hunter, a young man struggling to deal with his circumstances. He finds himself in trouble with the law, which lands him behind bars. In his heart, he wants a better life but feels like he's not meant for anything other than a life behind bars like his father. As DC deals with the challenges and politics of life behind the wall, he meets a man with a different plan who teaches Dylan a different way to think.
Can DC accept this new way of thinking and change his ways or is he doomed to a life in prison?

Will Red Hood stop the Joker and get peace after 5 years? Red Hood doesn't know the identity of Nightwing and vice versa. ( I thought it'd be cool if they didn't know :) ). I tried to keep personalities of the characters like they normally are. It's written in the perspective of both Dick and Jason but it's third person. I use Red Hood and Nightwing in the other's perspective since they don't know each other. I'm a bad writer so be warned ;) Also I don't own the art. Hope you enjoy it! "Hazel." "What?" "My name." I swallowed hesitantly, afraid to shatter the silence between us anymore than I already had, "It's Hazel." The silence of the night made it seem as if someone breathing too loud could make the silence shatter into a million pieces. My voice was no exception, and I was terrified that if I spoke to loud, even one word, the it would shatter, along with everything in the room. The silence seemed to make my voice feel smaller than it was, so when I finally heard his footsteps again, it shocked me to hear how loud and distinctive each one was, as if the silence broke just for him. As if he ruled the silence. It's as if he didn't even view the silence as fragile, but a force that he had to over come. Tim doesn't plan on talking with Jason when he goes to crime alley, because why on Earth would Red Hood be there, right? ("Stupid fucker" Tim thinks looking back) That was mistake number one. Mistake number two is actually pouring out his emotions to Jason about his family (Like how much he hates Bruce). His third mistake was not turning off his tracker which led to a very awkward confrontation the next day at work. The first mistake started the whole situation and fucked up his life in a bad and good way (he guesses it had something to do with how sad and lonely he was before Jason came in like a wrecking ball). Realistically he knows that he could've handled the whole situation better, but what's the fun in that? It's way more interesting to become friends with the guy you replaced, used to have a crush on and stalked BETRAYING Bruce. To add to that he gets so high that he forgets his feelings until forever. Procrastination at its finest. The best part (but Tim's least favorite part) is that everyone knew about his feelings that he himself didn't know, but they were completely oblivious to how much he was hurting, except Jason.
