The first book, Beyond the Distance, tells the story of a young man named Acton, who grew up in a family stalked by a mysterious shadow organization known as the KUS. Upon learning a couple of their secrets, Acton takes justice into his own hands and pursues retribution for the KUS's actions against Keona, an orphaned Lunseran girl he holds dear.
