A deadly disease known as "The Barbaric Disease" is accidentally spread throughout the world, turning those who get infected into monstrous creatures, nicknamed "Barbarians". Two types of Barbarians emerge, 'Biters', who infect humans, and 'Scratchers', who inflict damage on humans but do not infect them. This results in only '500' humans remaining on the Earth and the remaining land being split into five districts; The Fraction District, The Mammoth District, The Minute District, The Training District and The Bridge District . This disaster caused surrounding power grids to be knocked out, and humanity was pushed back into the basic lifestyle of a modern medieval period. But in spite of the terror of being killed or infected, units were formed to fight back against the struggles that humanity face. The Public Unit, those who help people carry out daily tasks. The Agriculture Unit, those who transport and grow crops for the remaining population. The Criminal Suppression Squad, those who stop human crime and place judgement upon criminals. And The Barbarian Hunters, those who travel from District to District, delivering information or supplies, whilst killing Barbarians who stand in the way.

During the first week, humans were infected with a virus showing cannibalistic behaviour only to their own species. Biting. Eating the flesh of ones own species. Violent behaviour. It baffled scientists at it's cause, wondering what it is. Animals however, were invisible to the infected Omnivores. Humans were ignoring the Herbivores and Carnivores. Until, they too got infected. Somehow they did. Whatever caused it, they can see both human and animal as their prey. Even if their prey are carnivores. The army lost control within the first month. Airports shut down in areas nearby, while flights didn't dare to go back to Australia. No other country was willing to take Refugees. But one showed compassion and opened it's doors.
