"Just think of the bright side to all of this, you're still getting paid! I mean, you have enough money to feed a family of more than eleven."
"Yeah, that really does help solve my irritation. Thanks Jon, you're always a huge help."
"...Was that sarcasm?"
Ryan Ross has been living front and center stage within the world's spotlight, something most people his age could only dare to dream of.
There's a twisted sense of belonging burning within him whenever he's standing in front of a white back drop, posing for all to see in front of multiple camera lenses. It's not his ideal way to make a living, but his hefty pay check states otherwise.
Then, there's Brendon Urie.
"He's kind of a big deal," Spencer shrugs. "Look, you'll get a higher paycheck if you work with him. It's what you want, right?"
Ryan doesn't know what he wants, especially now when times have grown to be more confusing, but he sure as hell knows that the spotlight is his, and his alone. He's not going to let some cocky asshole rip it from him considering all the sacrifices he's made in the past.
Even if that cocky asshole happens to bring him a better sense of belonging in the world.

"Brendon Urie." The man's deep voice gave Brendon an uneasy feeling. "Under the order of Dylan Price, you are being relocated to Summerlin for correction." Brendon's heart was ready to beat out of his chest. If the rumors were anything to go by, correction was far from painless.
There were people out there who didn't like people like Brendon. There were people like Brent Wilson who only sent Brendon home with bruises. Then, there were people like Dylan Price who made people like Brendon disappear.
