Rising Up from the Ashes (DISCONTINUED)

Jaelena and her friends have always been athletic, often playing sports or jogging outside. They have their own hopes and dreams to reach in their activities.

But just one mistake is all it will take...

Jaelena takes a foul ball to the ankle in softball, permanently damaging the bone so she can't run anymore. Sadly, this means that her dream of being a catcher has to be stopped, or at least put off.

Jaelena is astounded when she is offered the chance to join the choir after she sings her feelings in the school talent show at the end of her sixth grade year. She questions herself a little bit for a time after the accident, until she discovers a secret about one of her closest friends.

Now, with her new possible singing career; her friend's secret; her writing career, which she believes may or may not come true after an accidental publish; and the new kid at school, Jaelena's life is completely turned upside down.

When the X Factor comes into town, Jaelena is offered the opportunity of a lifetime. Will she take the moment to get further ahead? Or will she sit back and never get another chance?
