As the Moon Rises

A manilla envelope arrived ten minutes before Celine received the call. One week later, the envelope was stashed away and unopened, and Celine already tried to run away three times. The first time she was found was on a bus stop bench, the second, on the sidewalk of a desolate freeway, and the third on library steps at 3:00am. There would have been a fourth, until she noticed the boy sitting on the curb of her house at 2:06 in the morning.
