"Finch, dear, I think you might want to step away from there. It's dangerous..." He muttered, taking a hold of my hand. I pulled it out of his grip, feeling grossed out in ten different kinds of ways.
"Oh yeah? And why should I trust what you say, huh? I'm sure you're just gonna keep secrets from me like everyone else in this town." I growled, looking up at him through my blood matted hair. He grinned toothily, his eyes glinting off the water.
"'Cause I'm the only one who's gonna tell- wait, no. Show... you the truth, that's why." And with that, the snapping of bones could be heard, echoing throughout the lakeside. I turned on a dime, staring. In the place of my best friend, was the wolf from my dreams.
