whispered into my ear, his voice
sounding raspy and pained.
"No."
I could feel his lips curl over his
teeth into a smile against my ear
and my heart jumped to my throat,
pounding through my temples.
"Oh my dear, dear Nicoline. Would
you like to know?"
"What are you?" My voice was
trembling.
"Vampire." He said before his
mouth moved to my neck and a
frozen pain erupted through my
veins.

Are you excited or afraid?" "Excited to be bitten by a vampire?" Aspen's teeth slowly dragged against my neck again, my tongue going dry. "You never know. Some humans find it enjoyable, but they're the ones who like pain. You remind me of them Esma, a little pain whore."

Where am I? I wake up with no memory of the night before or how I got to this place. I don't even know what place this is. I hear the howl of a wolf and stagger to the window. What the hell?
