Desolation

"Dust. It coats everything. Always finds a way to get into the smallest cracks and crevices. It covers the dishes, the clothes, and the bodies. So many bodies. I see them every day, lining the old streets. But it's okay; the dust covers them as fast as they fall. It's okay."

** This is a work in progress novel. I also have a completed short story called "In This Desolate World" that is based on the same world and main character, but has different situations and outcomes. I'm not currently working on the novel version right now, but I would like to get back to it one day. Let me know which version you guys like better! ** 5/28/2020
