A myth exists that tells the story of an aura that comes once a year to take away six unlucky people for its own selfish needs. Unlike the Northern and Southern lights at the Earth's poles, this aura takes on a fire-like resemblance. That is why they call them the Scorching Lights.

Six people have been taken in this year, like every year. These six are in for many surprises when they find out exactly what it is that the Scorching Lights is about, what happens in its realm, and if their efforts for survival even have a purpose.
