This caption may describe a shitty story but read the prologue instead.

A new girl in town, a boy who live a crazy life as a celebrity and everything that follows.

Cooper is the new girl in Trofors. She is considered 'different'
Not only because of her style or her choice of clothing but also the fact that for Cooper love is not a thing anymore.
As a kid Cooper's mom was left alone to take care of her. Her dad ran away and hasn't showed since.
As a teenager Cooper dated this guy called Finn. He was the most popular guy in school and when he started to like Cooper everybody suddenly knew who she was. He wasn't the type of boyfriend you'd dream about. Let's just say that he is not aware of the concept 'one girl only'
Their relationship lasted when Cooper has to move away which probably was the best for everyone.
Her passed has changed a lot who can't be forgiven.

This town Trofors is a lot bigger than you would think - not talking about the size of the area.
Apparently the town has a lot of visitors, the school is common but not really and the twins living on the other side of the bridge isn't as normal as Cooper would think.
