'Akara, answer me,' Zero said, anger rising in his voice. I looked down at Zero, his set jaw and firm eyes saying all that was needed. 'don't you dare.'
'Zero...' I smiled softly, tears stinging my eyes as blood pooled at my feet. 'You can be free.'
Zero's bared his teeth, his red eyes lighting up the room, glaring into mine, intense and hurt-filled. 'How am I going to be free when you're the only thing keeping me alive?!'
'You'll live.' I whispered as I felt the darkness lull me towards it.
