Rachel faces the unthinkable (moving away from her best friend in the entire world, Kelsey). She moves to North Carolina which is fortunately only one state away from Kelsey. At first it seems like the world might not end, until she is faced with the ultimate challenge: Being the new girl at school. As she goes through those black, intimidating double doors she knows that sick feeling in the pit of her stomach isn't going away anytime soon. Too ease her pain she decides to let Kelsey in on all of the details and soon-to-be drama. Along the way she meets the goth girl who may just be the most sensible person there, the hot guy all the girls love, the girl who flirts with him 24/7, and many, many other characters.
