Seventeen-year-old Axel Jones was just a regular boy living a regular life, except for one thing: the world was dead and he lived inside a glass dome full of manufactured air. Everyone else was content to go about their lives in blissful ignorance, but Axel can't help but wonder about the world of the past and what really happened to it. When secrets about his family's past and the history of the Dome and the Old World come to the surface, Axel's life as he knew it was over and in his quest to discover the truth, he learns things about himself and the world he lives in that he never would have expected. Things that put him in grave danger. And he will do the one thing he never thought possible: go Outside.
