Being a hunter is not something Scott would recommend, to anyone. It's messy and painful and it wears you down until there is nothing left but insanity. If you're lucky, you get killed before that happens. He refuses to just walk away from it all and get himself a normal life. During a late-night walk in the woods, Scott encounters a mysterious injured boy. He can't resist the urge to nurse the boy back to health. "So, here's the deal. I'm going to take you to my camp so that I can look at your injuries and treat them as best as I can. Now I will do this, but if you try to hurt me or anyone else back at camp, know that I won't hesitate to kill you. Are we clear?" Will he be what Scott needs to brighten up his dark days? Or will they become even darker? Only time will tell...

"Mitch's mom left me a letter before she passed away. I just got it today, and I'd like to read it to everyone." I unfold the paper, and I clear my throat. "Dear Scott, I always knew you and Mitch would end up together. I know we never officially met, but Kirstie told me all about you. She said that you and Mitch will love each other and will be perfect together. If that's true, Scott, I want you to promise me a couple of things. I want you to promise me that you'll always make Mitch happy, whether it's in a marriage, relationship, or friendship. I want you to promise you'll never give up on him. He needs some stability in his life, Scott, and I'm hoping you'll be his rock. I want you to promise me that he can trust you in good times and in bad. I want you to promise me that he continues singing. The last promise is this: promise to love and cherish him forever. Can you promise me these things, Scott? Can you promise to love him for the rest of your years?" Tears start to swell in Mitch's eyes. I walk down to where he's sitting and I wipe the tears escaping from his eyes. I take his hands and kiss them, and I whisper into his ear two words. "I promise."
